The Carabao Cup, officially known as the EFL Cup and commonly called the League Cup, is an English knockout competition contested by the 92 clubs of the Premier League and the English Football League (EFL). Most rounds are decided by a single-leg knockout, but the semi-finals are played over two legs, with home and away matches at each team's ground. The final is held at Wembley Stadium and the winner also earns a place in European competition. "Carabao" is the current title sponsor that gives the tournament its name, and clubs already involved in European competition enter at a later stage.
