Hull City asciende a Premier LeagueThe 2025/26 season has ended. Once the 2026/27 calendar is published you'll be able to simulate the new season here.
The EFL Championship is the second tier of English football and one of the most demanding leagues in the world: 24 teams play 46 matchdays in a long double round-robin competition. The top two are automatically promoted to the Premier League, sides finishing third to sixth enter the promotion play-offs for the final spot, and the bottom three are relegated to League One.
This simulator lets you recreate the whole season and anticipate the outcome of one of the most unpredictable leagues around. Set every result, follow the race for automatic promotion, build the play-offs, and see who avoids the drop. Replay matchdays, tweak scorelines, and explore every path to the Premier League.
Each of the 24 clubs plays 46 matchdays over a double round-robin (23 at home, 23 away), one of the longest league seasons in world football, and you can settle every one of them in the simulator.
Only the top two finishers earn automatic promotion. The third and final promotion place is decided separately in the play-offs between the sides ranked third to sixth.
3rd plays 6th and 4th plays 5th over two-legged semi-finals; the winners meet in a single final at Wembley, often called the richest game in football.
The bottom three of the 24 teams drop to League One, the third tier of English football, at the end of the season.
Yes, you can rewrite any scoreline as many times as you want: the table, the automatic-promotion places and the play-off bracket all recalculate instantly.
