The 2026 Apertura of the Argentine Liga Profesional splits its clubs into two zones, Zone A and Zone B. Within each zone teams play a single round-robin of 16 matchdays, plus one interzonal derby against a rival from the other zone. The top eight from each group advance to a knockout play-off bracket that decides the tournament champion.
This simulator covers both zones and the full play-off bracket so you can recreate the Apertura from start to finish. Set the results of each matchday, follow the battle to reach the knockout round, and build the elimination ties all the way to the final. Change scorelines, replay matchdays, and discover who goes furthest on the road to the Argentine title.
The Liga Profesional sorts the clubs into Zone A and Zone B to keep the regular phase short: each team plays 16 matchdays inside its group plus a single interzonal derby against its rival from the other zone.
Each zone keeps its own table. The top eight of Zone A and the top eight of Zone B punch their ticket to the knockout stage, while everyone else is out once the regular phase ends.
The bracket interlocks the two zones: the 1st seed of one zone meets the 8th of the other and so on, in single-elimination ties running from the round of 16 to the quarters, semis and the title final.
